Yes, the sunrises for your friend about 2 hours before it rises for you. The same for sunset. Try calling your friend on the phone around sunset. He should tell you that its dark outside for him, the sun already set for him two hours ago.
Or maybe I misunderstand you, and I have things backwards. When the sun sets for you, it is still two hours before sunset for your friend.
