Ok so I have been thinking of getting a new bowling bal for a while now and I am looking at something that has a smooth arc, strong back end and can handle the heaviest conditions. I have narrowed it down to two options: the Roto Grip Rogue Cell and the Storm Virtual Gravity (or the new Storm Virtual Energy). Both are awesome balls but I kind of need a second opinion before I go buying a ball. Given these two choices which one would be better for me to use? Thanks!
The rogue cell is more angular, and has more friction than the storm gravity. But the storm gravity is for the more experienced bowler with a medium ball speed. If your average falls between 180-200, I would suggest the rogue cell. If your average is between a 200-220, I'd say get the storm virtual gravity. If your average is below a 180, I don't think you should get either, as you may not have the experience to throw them.
However, if your average is in the 200's and you would like a more agressive ball, I would have to suggest Hammers The Sauce. Ithas a less angular throw, but has a strong backend; and its made for heavy conditions. If you can control this ball it can be very agressive on the lane without sacraficing breakpoint control.
Bowler's Journal International 2009 Ball of the YearSince the release of the Virtual Gravity, Storm has been inundated with positive feedback and inquires of future designs. The combination of the Gravity Shift and Virtual Gravity gave bowlers a look that they had never seen before on heavier oil mid-lane control with explosive back-end reactions...
