Track Kinetic Energy
kinetic energy help!!!?

A hot-wheels car of mass 0.025 kg is traveling on a horizontal track with a velocity of 5.0 m/s. If the track suddenly turns upward how high up the track can the car travel?
so it would be 1.225 meters?

find the kinetic energy from E = ½mV²

That is converted to potential energy. Change the mass to weight by multiplying by 9.8 to convert to Newtons.

E = F*H will give you height.

How do you find work and kinetic energy?

In the 1950s, an experimental train that had a mass of 2.90 multiplied by 104 kg was powered across a level track by a jet engine that produced a thrust of 4.75 multiplied by 105 N for a distance of 509 m. Assume that air resistance is negligible.

(a) Find the work done on the train.

(b) Find the change in kinetic energy.

(both in joules)

work done=force*displacement=4.75*105*509 J
change in KE=work done
