Jazz Orange What is the name of the latin jazz song from 1979 with the lyrics "orange juice" and helter skelter"?
I heard it on the radio yesterday morning and I can't for the life of me remember anymore.
The song was played on 90.2fm (they play some really cool soul, rare groove and latin jazz in the mornings
Thanks
You probably heard a cover? The only Helter Skelter song I know is The Beatles. A lot of artists cover them. Maybe something like this -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvWpiUOU7xA ?

Fort Minor - Red to Black (feat. Kenna, Jonah Matranga and Styles of Beyond)
Ok...I want my kitchen to be red, black and white. I recently went looking at things such as pots and pans, dishes, utensils, things like that and I was amazed at how many things are red, black and white.
I would just like some suggestions on what would look best! Thanks!
Red, black, & white reminds me of the fifties. Add alot of chrome & retro appliances. We are lucky with all the colors available but I would think black for any major purchase (ie: Large mixer) since they last forever and black always fits any decor. Good luck.
Flash Navy Can I join the Navy with a GED and minor trafiic violation?
Sometime around last year I got flashed by one of those red light cameras and got a ticket. I payed the ticket and that is my only offense I have on my record. I know that they are strict regarding people with GED's. Will this stop me from being accepted in to the Navy?
Yes you can join the navy with a GED. You have to score over a 50 on the ASVAB test but with a minor traffic ticket you are good to go. For us in Ohio only males can join at the beginning of the month but with females you can join anytime.
Don't listen to anyone, I"m a navy recruiter and YES WE DO ACCEPT GED'S. If you have any questions email me at darrin.underwood@navy.mil

can i mix blue Clairol complements color intensifier with a black blue lo real blue black permanent haircolor?
blue Clairol complements color intensifier with a black blue lo real blue black permanent hair color.my hair is black and i colored it black blue but it looks the same as before so i was wondering if can get it to be a black blue but with a lil more blue...
Clairol Complements Blue Intensifier can be mixed with L'Oreal, however, you would have a much more predictable result if you simply mixed it with a Clairol color. A fantastic ash Black Clairol Color is Complements 1A. For an intense blue black, mix 1oz 1A, 1oz Blue Intensifier and 2oz of 10 volume developer. Have fun!
Attitude Shift The Exposition repeat - Yes or No? & why the change in attitude ?
Hi all,
Just curious as to if anyone has any individual preferences when it comes to choosing whether or not to repeat the exposition theme in say a symphony movement?
Also, why has there been a shift in attitude whereby today it is viewed as optional with many interpreters opting yes.
Though previously the school of thought for conductors was generally not to.
For example two of my favourite recordings Rafael Kubelik's mighty Dvorak No.9(1975 recording I think)) which omits them and Leonard Bernstein's Mozart No.40(1984) which observes them.
So to digress:
Do they add or detract from the composition?
Does anyone find them annoying and unnecessary,
or would it depend precisely on the work in hand?
Your thoughts as always are much appreciated.
I guess that am of the conservative tradition with regard to this, "option"-?.
In my perspective, the composer indicated these from his own sense of in what way, and how, it should be interpreted. To ignore a repeat, is to insult his genius: it my opinion, "sacrilegious".
Arturo Toscanini always strictly adhered to the composers every notation, which was one reason(among others)he was considered, as I do, probably the greatest conductor of the 20th century.
Bottom line: in general, they add to the composition.

Do you think the media's attitude towards young sportsmen and women is detrimental to encouraging young?
People to excel at sports? With their recent shift in attitude to Andy Murray and Lewis Hamilton, do you think that many young people who are good at sports would be put off becoming professional?
Regardless of attitude, British media will always knock any sportsmen/sportswomen upon failure.
Look at the headlines pre-Euro 1996 and FIFA World Cup 2002. Beckham, Owen et al were the greatest men alive. The minute they lost, they were held in the same contempt as Chairman Mao.
I think you shouldn't worry about people like Hamilton and Murray - they will be primed by their aides and coaches that this is how the British media works.
You are right though, it is totally unfair. Other countries (Netherlands in particular) celebrate their sports-persons achievements in full - even when they lose. In an ideal world, the British media would have concentrated on Andy's meteoric rise in the last 2 years; his massive development in fitness, his game and his temperament; his great results in that time and his ability to beat the likes of Federer, Nadal and Djokovic.
There is a mindset in Britain that we expect to be the best. That notion has long since evaporated. This is why when Murray, Henman, Hamilton and others failed, they were lambasted. To reach the last four at Wimbledon, or to be the Formula 1 champion requires hours and hours of hard work, sacrifice and dedication. And the British media show that no respect whatsoever.
