Kids Bowling Ball What are my rights when I'm being harassed in public housing authority? What can I do in court if any?
I live in public housing. The people in the apartment above me does what it sounds like moving furniture and it sounds like bowling balls hitting the ceiling. A lot of the time it's between the hours of 12-3 o' clock A.M. in the morning. I asked them maturely if they could please stop and be a little quieter. They proceeded until like 1:00 a.m. I called the police plenty of times, but they still proceeded. Now it's been three months and it's still happening. They made up some stuff about me trying to hit their kids and threatening them, I don't know how I would have the heart since I have four little siblings and I have no criminal history or record. The manager said she had gotten three letters from the people who live in the two apartments above me saying this...and to tell you the truth I don't know these people. I never went in the behind apartments. The manager said I have one more chance or I'm evicted, why are they doing this to me? What are my rights as to being a tenant?
What more do you want. We're paying for your "public housing." Quit complaining. Beggars can't be choosers.
Storm Virtual Gravity Nano bowling ball rolled by Brent Dolan at Alltenback "monday mahem"
today my husband and i took the kids bowling and my son slipped on the floor.. when he fell, his index and middle fingers were in the bowling ball and he tried catching himself with that hand. he was screaming in pain and his fingers were bruised and swollen immediately. i took him to the ER.. they did xrays and said he had a spiral fracture in the index finger. they put a splint on it and referred me to a hand surgeon/specialist. his appt is monday and i am a lil worried. does anyone know what they will do? will they have to reset it? cast him? place pins in his finger? any input would be greatly appreciated... thanks
Most likely they will have to surgically set this. The most common way of doing this for fingers is a pinning down the shaft of the broken bone. The nice thing about a spiral fracture is that the pieces fit together nicely and heal really well, the bad thing about them is that routine setting/splinting doesn't work as well as on a transverse fracture(straight across the bone) since the fracture is angled and the bone can easily slip out of place.
Basically to start, they will do a quick exam and review the films taken in the ER. If they feel it's necessary, they may order new X-rays to check out current position of the fragments or to get different angles. After this is done, the decision for surgery will be made and if they decide it is needed, will schedule the surgery. The surgery would be scheduled, usually within the week, and is done under general anesthesia. Your son will be asleep the whole time so won't feel any pain from this part. After they put the wire in, they will either splint it or cast it (usually just a splint as the pin is what's holding it together and not a cast). After he wakes up and the pain meds start wearing off, it will hurt pretty bad and throb like all hell for a couple of days. Keep him on the meds they prescribe for both pain control and infection control. After 4-6 weeks once the bone has healed sufficiently, they will put him under general anesthesia once more and remove the pin. Expect at least 2-3 more visits between surgeries to check on the pin site (about an inch of it will stick out of his finger) and to get X-rays to track healing. Then expect at least one more set of X-rays after the pin is out.

Epiphone Les Paul Standard. I have the Hotrod Humbucker set (Seymour Duncan) installed, plus Grover Roto-Grip locking tuners ($90 tuners). I just had it set up so there is no longer any fret buzz, though it is at medium height. Is it better than a stock Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded?
the body is probably a little bit better, but since there are new pickups in it the guitar might be better it depends more on what you want from the pickups, like more treble for lead or a more rich sound for rhythm.
I'm fine with playing, just if I play for more than a minute or so I drop the pick.
I've tried various different techniques of holding it, but can't seem to grip it right.
Could it be to do with the strings I use? I use Rotosound R10 Roto Yellows.
If you are a good player who doesn't have this problem, please tell me how YOU hold it.
If not, please suggest why I may have this problem and how I can overcome it.
I have been trying very hard to play but just can't get over this issue.
thanks in advance
Try some Gorilla Snot
I take a razor blade and put scratches across all of my picks - it helps.
