Custom Bowling Ball Shop
Anyone know where I can buy the bowling ball Big Ern uses in Kingpin? Any custom shops that will make it?
Try searching for "clear" bowling balls in Google. I saw that bowling ball back in the 80's/90's and the pro shop at the Reno National Bowling Stadium where Kingpin was filmed even sold it there! I'm not sure if there are manufacturers that can custom make a clear bowling ball in that manner, but hope you can find one! Good luck!

if i sand a bowling ball and paint it how do i put the finis on it do i spray it or do i take it to a pro shop
You'd better go to the pro shop first. They don't look like it but bowling balls are finely balanced. Sanding and painting the ball will make it unuseable. Regular balls are highly polished. You might have to apply a coat of clear, hard plastic to seal your artwork and allow the ball to be machine polished. If it's an old ball that nobody's going to use again, it still might be a good idea to pay a visit to the pro shop to get all your questions answered before you begin. My question would be: besides sanding, do I have to apply any kind of primer to make the paint stick?
