Are there such a thing as Thunderbirds?
There is a man called Red Elk who in interviews has said that he has seen birds he calls THunderbirds in Canada.
He says "Thunderbirds, with wingspans that average 22 feet, have breeding grounds in South America, and are slowly coming back to the U.S., said Red Elk. The Cree Indians are protectorates of an earlier breeding ground in Yukon, Canada, a "sacred bird cave," that has relics of eggs that were the size of bowling balls, he shared."
Has anyone else heard of this creature?
As usual since the YA skeptics are incapable of actually providing information I will answer the question for you (link to article below).
Judging size of birds or anything else in the air with no indication of how high they are, how far away they are, and having no point of reference like say one sitting on the branch of a tree where the whole tree is visible to you is almost impossible.
This legend probably began as the article (yes an actual source of information) explains when large birds riding on air currents would arrive right before thunder and lightning storms and thus were given the name "thunder birds".
It is certainly possible as every reputable biologist and zoologist freely admits for an unusually large bird (though perhaps not a 22 feet wing span) to exist or have existed due to a mutation of some type which would have added fuel to the legend of their size. No, the skeletal remains of one giant mutant bird is not likely to be found just as we have found far less than 1% of the dinosaurs that once roamed the Earth.

Why are men and women separated in skill sports?
I always found it odd that in billards (9-ball, etc) and bowling and other individual skill sports that men and women don't compete together. When men don't have a competitive, physical edge, why not let men and women compete against each other?
poker is SO OBVIOUSLY not a sport
but what you're talking about is one of the lines you could draw in an argument over the definition of "sport"
sport is: a physical activity governed by a set of rules or customs that is competed in
you could say that skill games such as pool/billiards wouldn't be considered a "sport" because it doesn't require hardly any "physical activity"
a real jerk (and i'm saying this hypothetically) could draw that line of physicality by saying "if the best woman has any shot at beating the best man, it can't be considered physical enough to be a sport by definition"
