Ive been bowling alot lately and i was considering getting a ball. The ball i currently use is 12lbs but the only reason i use it is cause the finger holes fit perfect. i was thinking i should try 13 or 14lbs cause i used a different ball today and it felt heavier but it had the same finger holes. im 16 and about 5'10 and 200lbs and will changing the weight affect me and how.
by affect me i mean my delivery
i dunno how long ive been bowling but ive bowled over 50 games the past month. i bowl about once a week on average(monday dollar game night). i average about a 150. i started below 100 and have improved 50 pins in the last month. i dont plan on joining a league i just like to compete with my friendsi would like to hang with my friends who bowl in the 200s acassionaly and to get up to averaging about 180 and getting in the 200s.
Find the weight that feels best,I like a heavy ball ! The finger holes can be drilled to fit your fingers !
My brother is turning 13 and i'm thinking about getting him a bowling ball but i'm wondering how much they are where is the best place to purchase them? Do you have to get them sized to fit or are kids balls about the same?
It would be best to bring your brother to your local bowling alley and have the pro shop operator measure his hand if he hasn't had that done already. The operator can then help determine a proper weight bowling ball for your brother. This way you don't buy a ball too heavy or too light for him and he gets to have it drilled properly to his hand which will help him avoid injury. A good bowling ball will be around $130-$180, but you can get some with neat designs for around $50-$80.
