Bowling Ball Equipments

Equipment Needed For A Dog...?
I already have bowls, leash, collar, dog food, & toy (tennis ball). What else do I really need besides all of that? I am looking into getting a harness because it seems like my dog is a escape artist to her collar.
Crate (if you are crate training, which I suggest), should be big enough to move around in but not big enough so he can have a separate area to use the restroom.
Also, bedding. If it's a small dog, a harness would be better.
Other than that, you are pretty much covered!

What kind of bowling equipment should I get?
I want to turn bowling into a hobby. What kind of bowling equipment should I get? (brand of shoes, what kind of ball, ......)
If you want to learn the hook, you can start with a beginner's reactive ball, such as the Brunswick Power Groove, Storm Tropical Storm, and Columbia 300 Jazz. Or you can go with something a bit more advanced so that you won't outgrow it. Remember, these balls don't hook themselves, you still need to learn the proper techniques. Getting a coach will help you avoid bad habits.
Don't go with the cheapest pair of shoes. Buy a reputable brand (Etonic, Dexter, 3G, Linds), preferably from a pro shop so you can get a perfect fit. Test the slide sole and get comfortable with it, with the help of the pro shop staffer or a coach.
Accessories you can get for now are a rosin bag (absorbs moisture in your hand), and some bowling tape (to adjust thumb hole size to compensate for the climate variations changing your thumb size). You may or may not want a wrist brace. Try it and see how comfortable you are with one (again, with the help of a coach).
To answer your previous question, no one can bowl 300 all the time. The highest ever league average was 261 by Jeff Carter (who is now a professional with 1 national title) and 259 by Mike Scroggins (6 national titles including 2 major titles). The highest PBA (Pro Bowlers Association) average is 228.47 by Norm Duke in the 2006-07 season. Last season (2008-09) Wes Malott had the high average at 222.98. But keep in mind that the pros bowl on much more difficult oil patterns which can lower an average bowler's score by a good 30 pins.
