I wanted to make chocolate peanut butter balls (for Super Bowl party) but I'm too scared because of the peanut butter recall.
What are some other easy bite size recipes, like something dipped in chocolate or something else unique not just boring cookies...I suck at baking so no-bakes would be great haha
Thanks!
Oreo Truffles! Use dark or white chocolate or both.
Unique centerpiece ideas needed for baseball wedding reception mainly involving plain white ball caps...?
Aside from rhinestones, I need more ideas to use as my centerpieces with white ball caps...they will be placed on the table right-side-up with a push light illuminating them from underneath....colors are red white & silver. At this time we have 2 other styles of centerpieces we're using too- one involving baseballs & the other being the glass bowls with floating candles.
Would really like to come up with a neat way to use the caps too. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Hmmmm...
Well - what if you were to get some wooden bats and glue them handle side up on some kind of platform. Then what you could do is get one of those illuminating push lights and glue it onto the top of the handle - then you can place the white cap over it so it is an illuminated cap sitting atop of the baseball bat...
Maybe something like this, just with the cap placed on top:
Then you can decorate around the base of the bat with some silver, red and white confetti.
Another idea would be to just get some of those centerpiece risers and put the push light and cap on top of it. Then you can decorate the base
- Twisted Fury Solid
- Columbia 300 Resurgance
- Hammer Black widow
Now, I will be spending money on this and I want to have the balls properly drilled. Is there any steps or procedures I can go through to make sure of it? I will take them to a pro shop, but I want to be knowledgable before I take it to them.
i always take my best fitting ball and the ball driler can match it up real easy
but one driler i go to has my measurments on his computer..all i do is calll him and tell him which ball i want and it wil be ready for me when i go to pick it up
how would the twisted fury solid bowling ball work on a house lane oil?
is the twisted fury solid bowling ball really reactive on house oil, that's what i usually bowl on. rarely on sports shoot. if
it is too reactive please recommend a bowling ball.
I have two twisted fury solids that I use for different lane conditions. One is sanded down with a rough surface for my PBA experience league and the other one has a high glossy surface for house and medium lane conditions.
I've used both on house and short oil conditions, and both are like night and day. The sanded one will go gutter to gutter with medium revolutions and about 16-17 mph. The polished one will basically play the outside and center of the lane perfectly. I have the RICO drilling pattern (pin in the palm) on both balls for excellent control on the lane while keeping their aggressive entry angle into the pocket without leaving many corner pins or solid 7-10's.
So far with my Twisted Fury Solids, my sports condition (PBA experience) league average is about 207 and my house condition average is around 218. Good luck!
You set up, shoulders square with the foul line; you eye the target, aligning yourself with the dots on the lane; you raise the ball in preparation, stepping to move forward, slide, swing and let go. The ball travels just as you had envisioned it; and knocks down the split pins at the far end of the alley. The crowd cheers. You’ve won the tournament! - All from the comforts of your home.
Yes, practically all sports have a digital version of the game available for playing on the computer. It is now possible to “bowl†virtually through a number of computer games available on the Internet.
Some games are serious with considerations for physics as detailed as speed of approach and spin. Then there are others that are purely for cathartic fun. Here’s a short list of bowling-based online games that have been making the rounds lately:
There are many free games online that build on the basic alley, pins and ball setup, with little variations. To check out some, try tapping out key bowling phrases on your favorite search engine to find games such as Polar Bowler, Pot Bowling Around the World, It's Raining Pins, and Bowling Evolution. Some details on select games follow:
Gutterball 2
Its creators claim it’s the most realistic 3D bowling game. Building on the success of the first version, this one has an added 5 new lanes to its existing library. Rendered in 3D, the game makes for a fun coffee-break companion.
Rocketbowl
The traditional bowling game with an explosive twist! Bowling balls are powered by rockets and can propel over all sorts of obstacles like water traps, bridges, and tunnels before knocking down pins. Some pins carry money points with them letting you earn points to buy more exciting balls!
Elf
This game was a runaway hit just before the year 2000, when it made its debut during the holidays of 1999. It features Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick knocking down toy factory elves on “strike†(can the pun get any more obvious?). With its funny cartoon like graphics, it has developed a niche following and has spawned different versions since its inception. Unfortunately, the game is only for downloading and an online version doesn’t exist yet.
So there you are, even if you’re not on the lanes, you can still bowl and have fun with the click of a mouse. Albeit there is little comparison to the real game, it does come quite close. Now all that’s missing are the sodas and fries!
